COMMUNITY KITCHEN

Plans and sections of the collaged Izumi Temple Shrine along with an axonometric of the Triangular Rushton Lodge were montaged as one, which then translated into a community kitchen situated This community kitchen is designed according to the senses. The sense of hearing is prominent at the center of the community kitchen, where community hearings take place on a stage and a vertical garden hangs above. The vertical hanging garden, which receives light from openings in the wall, is a garden of touch and sight. Within the garden is the dining area, which has access to the gathering area. A series of ramps cut through a bridge connected to the center. They lead to spaces for teaching outdoors. On the lower level is a market place with bathrooms.
